Brunswick, Ohio - The Brunswick High School Men’s Soccer Team fell 1–0 on Saturday night at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium, undone by a stunning long range strike from Buckeye senior defender and captain Cael Miller. The goal came from just inside midfield, a driven 50 yard effort that carried over the Brunswick back line and dropped perfectly inside the far post for the game’s only score.

Brunswick controlled long stretches of the match, dictating tempo and pinning Buckeye in for extended periods. The Blue Devils generated four shots on target, but each was turned away by senior goalkeeper Hunter Uehlein, who delivered a composed and confident performance to preserve the shutout. Senior goalkeeper Artur Vasylkevych made two saves for Brunswick and takes the loss, while Uehlein earns the win with four saves.

Despite the pressure and possession, Brunswick could not find the breakthrough it needed and moves to 3-2-3 on the season. Buckeye celebrates a landmark moment with its first program win over Brunswick, improving to 2-5-1. Brunswick still leads the historical series, 6-1-1.

“Congrats to Buckeye. Their kids played hard and fair and they got one on us tonight. Disappointed to not get on the score sheet again, but hopefully we can find a way through soon,” said Head Coach Ben Dotson.

Brunswick next plays on Tuesday when they host Cleveland Heights. Kickoff is at 8:00 PM at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium.
