Euclid, Ohio — The Brunswick High School Men’s Soccer Team won their GCC Finale tonight over the Panthers of Euclid by the score of 9-0. Brunswick's record is now 9-4-4 and 4-3-0 in the GCC. Euclid drops to 3-9-4 and finishes at 1-6-0 in the GCC.

Brunswick now leads the all-time series 12-0-0.

In the first half, two goals from senior midfielder and captain Miroslav Milanovic led the way. Sophomore Tyler Bradbury also scored to make the halftime lead 3-0. Credited with assists in the first half was junior Brayden Oleksiw and senior captain and midfielder Owen Beskid.

In the second half, several Blue Devils tallied their first career goals enroute to a six-goal half. Freshman Charlie Avarello got things started, followed by first career goals from juniors Evan Denker and Russell Bickley, sophomores Cambell Butler and Adam Jaber, and lastly from freshman Kenden Mann. Tacking on assists were Milanovic (2), Beskid, Mann, and junior Kaden Tibbs.

Brunswick Head Coach Ben Dotson named Owen Beskid Man of the Match for his two assists. The 34th and 35th assists of his career now places him third all-time on the BHS career assist list, passing former All-American Nick Felician and former All-Ohioan Josh Lord. “Owen has been a fantastic team player for his four years here, and watching him place his name up with our all-time greats is awesome to watch. Very proud of him!”

Senior goalkeeper and captain Eli Hyde made two saves in the win. He earned his ninth clean sheet of the season and his record stands at 9-4-4. David Boyd made 11 saves for the Panthers in the loss.

Brunswick next plays on Wednesday, October 22nd, when they Glen Oak for the OHSAA District Semifinal. Kick-off is scheduled at 7:00 pm versus the Federal League Champion Golden Eagles.
